Violations of information obligations

Area of expertise

A failure to comply with the obligation to provide consumers with reliable, true and full information may be a violation of collective consumer interests and may provide the President of UOKiK with grounds to open administrative investigatory proceedings.

Information obligations arise from several laws such as: Consumer Credit Act, Telecommunications Law, Act on Tourism Events and Associated Tourism Services, Act on the Protection of Rights of Buyers of Apartments or Detached Houses, and the Consumer Rights Act.
