CE marking

Area of expertise

A CE marking is a manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the requirements of the EU harmonisation legislation that governs the placement of products carrying CE markings. Companies must be familiar with and follow numerous regulations and requirements.

Lack of compliance with the applicable law may lead to consequences as drastic as being ordered to recall a product or discontinue its use. In addition, the appropriate market supervision authority may impose an administrative fine. Moreover, a product that does not conform to the requirements will be listed in the publicly-available Register of Non-Conforming or Potentially Hazardous Products, which is maintained by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (“UOKiK”).

  • Providing representation in proceedings conducted by market supervision authorities and the President of UOKiK, the agency responsible for monitoring the overall functioning of the market supervision system;
  • Representing clients in proceedings before administrative courts;
  • Assessing whether a client’s procedures are legally compliant;
