Infringement of collective consumer interests

Infringing collective consumer interests by misleading and unfair market practices or by misselling may have serious consequences. The President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (“UOKiK”) is authorized to issue a decision finding that a company has engaged in such conduct, and ordering it to remove the infringement effects and pay a fine of up to 10% of its previous year’s turnover.
